.NAME Domain Names

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME gTLD is the only one planned for personal sites only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. At the beginning, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to secure john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered 3rd-level domain names remained online.

Through our firm, you can grab your dot NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to switch the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our company if you have its EPP transfer authorization code from the current registration service provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific requirements on who can grab a dot NAME domain name, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.

The .NAME extension is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the proper spelling in your native language.
