A mailing list is a collection of email addresses that get the same message simultaneously. When you send a message to the mailing list address, your message will be forwarded to all the addresses on that mailing list automatically, but none of the receivers will become aware of who the rest of the recipients are. In the general case, users have to subscribe to a list, but sometimes mailboxes are added manually without their owners’ awareness. Depending on the given list administration software, you may also be able to add new subscribers, so users cannot subscribe to your mailing list unless you approve their signup request. The mailing list option is exceptionally handy if you want to send newsletters on a regular basis or some other type of periodic publications to customers, as you’ll have to send just a single email message and all of the mailing list subscribers will get it immediately. This way, you will not have to fill in lots of email addresses manually.
